A New Era of Efficiency: LS Central 25.0 Updates for Fashion, Replenishment and Hotels

On October 16th, 2024, the latest version of LS Central was officially released. Here’s a closer look at the new enhancements of LS Central 25.0 that simplify inventory management, replenishment, hotel operations, and more:

Updates in Fashion & Replenishment

  • Aggregated Inventory for automatic replenishment

In LS Central 25.0 Aggregated Inventory supports the automatic replenishment functionality, which makes it easier to make accurate calculations of the necessary items for restock and meet customer demand.

With the Aggregated Inventory functionality, all sales from different stores are combined into one Item Ledger Entry, which shows the total sales and costs in this aggregated location. The system shows a combined total as well as each store’s individual sales and details in the Aggregated Inventory Entries.

  • Cost Redistribution by Dimension

The Cost Redistribution by Dimension functionality calculates the costs of each store and distributes these costs from the central record to every individual store record.

  • Unit Cost Rollup

As a first step, the Aggregated Inventory Entries get created with estimated costs and later, when the actual sales are available, you can apply the Unit Cost Rollup. It updates the information in the entries with the real values to ensure that data is accurate.

Updates in Transfer Replenishment

  • Transfer replenishment with multiple warehouses

You can now replenish items from up to three different warehouses in the Transfer Replenishment calculation. The system automatically pulls stock from the main warehouse, and if the quantity is not enough, it takes stock from the second, followed by the third, and so on if necessary.

  • Warehouse to warehouse stock transfer

You can also move stock between warehouses. The system analyzes each warehouse's stock levels, checks if there are any extra or needed items and calculates the best way to move items, considering the best costs and routes.

  • BOM (Bill of Materials) improvements

A BOM is a product consisting of multiple components; if a component itself has multiple elements, it's called a BOM in BOM. With the latest update, inventory management is enhanced as the system now automatically adjusts in-stock components. For make-to-stock BOMs, available inventory is subtracted from calculated demand in the replenishment journal and assembly orders, improving proposal accuracy.

  • Automatic release of purchase orders with Release Calendar

The new Release Calendar part of this update lets you set up specific times to send purchase orders to vendors. Using the calendar, you can neatly organize when the releases should be and ensure that they are sent to the vendor on time.

  • Choose to enable logging during manual journal calculation

You can choose whether you want to enable logging for each process using the Create Calc. Log Lines. This setting can be turned off depending on your needs.

  • Dimension Price Matrix

With the Dimension Price Matrix you can manage the prices of the different items' variants easily. This tool shows all item versions (for example, each color, size, etc) in one place. With this complete view of your items, you can make any necessary adjustment in the sales and purchase prices.

Updates for Hotels

  • Housekeeping gets its own page

The new Housekeeping Operations page for updating room statuses and monitoring tasks. This new setup allows teams to manage housekeeping with a Team User License instead of a Device License, reducing costs.

  • Improved Deposit Tracking

A new Reservation Deposit Policy page centralizes deposit schedules and history, simplifying tracking and helping staff easily view outstanding balances for smoother financial management.

  • Flexible Incremental Payments

A Calculation Mode in the Deposit Policy now allows hotels to track payments in increments, making deposit collection more manageable and transparent for guests and finance teams alike.

  • Rate and Currency Clarity

Cancellation and deposit policies are now visible on the Rate Code List. This addition, along with currency display updates, makes billing more transparent.

  • Easier Management of Comments and Group Checkouts

Comments related to reservation extras are now consolidated on the Hotel Reservation Comments page, and a new check-out pop-up notification alerts staff to outstanding balances for groups, ensuring smooth check-outs.

  • Seamless OTA Channex Integration

The Channex OTA integration syncs room availability and rates with external booking platforms, helping hotels increase occupancy by streamlining online reservations.
